Benoit Runel has been sailing for over 40 years. It is the classic story of a child crazy about sailing who becomes instructor at the age of 17, performs in many competitions and cruises on all kinds of yachts.
He will gradually become an amateur skipper, taking family and friends on holidays between Brittany, Galicia, Corsica and Greece.
Seeking to become a professional skipper, he joined Royal Yachting Association training at Blue Sailing and graduated as Yachtmaster Offshore.

Father of 4, Benoit is a Gascon inspired with local cuisine and the land. Rugby fan, nature lover and of course passionate about sailing since his childhood.
He has worked for over 30 years in international media. He traveled on all continents throughout his career and lived successively in Paris, Los Angeles, London, Amsterdam. He is fluent in French and English.
